We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to join the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader to oversee a dedicated team supporting young people and care leavers, while driving high standards of practice and service delivery. Working within a supportive management structure, you will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes and ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements for children and young people.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of Personal Advisors and social work professionals, ensuring effective service delivery and high standards of practice.

Operational Management: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the team meets service objectives and statutory responsibilities.

Safeguarding Oversight: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

Supervision and Performance Management: Deliver reflective supervision, support professional development, and maintain effective performance management processes.

Case Allocation and Oversight: Oversee case allocation and support practitioners to ensure children, young people, and families receive timely and appropriate services.

Quality Assurance: Monitor practice standards through auditing, feedback, and continuous improvement activities.

Partnership Working: Develop effective working relationships with internal teams, partner agencies, and stakeholders to support positive outcomes.

Resource and Risk Management: Ensure staff have the resources required to work effectively, while identifying and managing operational risks.
