We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the West Locality Team within Adult Services based in West Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished social care professional to provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and case oversight while ensuring safe decision-making, effective risk management, and the delivery of high-quality statutory services. You will support the Locality Manager and play a key role in maintaining service continuity and developing the wider team.

What You Will Do

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and management of the West Locality Team.
• Oversee complex cases, ensuring safe decision-making and effective risk management.
• Support Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Social Care Practitioners through regular supervision and performance management.
• Deputize for the Locality Manager when required.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, the Mental Capacity Act, and statutory duties.
• Promote partnership working with health, voluntary, and community organizations to achieve positive outcomes for adults.
• Monitor service performance and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
• Lead organizational change, support staff development, and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration.
• Post-qualifying experience within Adult Social Care.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a social care setting.
• Strong knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
