We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated Safeguarding Team within Children’s Services in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience in safeguarding, child protection, and statutory social work. What you will do

Manage a caseload of children and families requiring assessment, intervention, and safeguarding support.

Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and safeguarding work in accordance with statutory responsibilities and best practice standards.

Complete comprehensive assessments to identify risks, needs, and appropriate support plans for children and young people.

Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans that promote positive outcomes and ensure children remain safe.

Build effective relationships with children, young people, families, careers, and partner agencies.

Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and case recordings within required timescales.

Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and other professionals to deliver coordinated support and informed decision-making.

Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and organizational policies.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Minimum 3 years’ permanent post-qualified experience within Children’s Services.

Demonstrable experience within safeguarding, child protection, and statutory social work settings.

Ability to complete the required DfE cover sheet as part of the submission process.

Understanding and acceptance of an Inside IR35 engagement.

Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
