Job Description
Job Title: Social Worker – Safeguarding Team

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, UK
Salary: £38.00 Per Hour (Umbrella)
Type: Ongoing / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated Safeguarding Team based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within Children’s Services, supporting children and families through high-quality safeguarding interventions while promoting positive outcomes. You will manage a varied caseload, undertake statutory responsibilities, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable children.

What You Will Do
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention.
- Undertake statutory assessments, visits, and care planning in line with legislative requirements.
- Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans to promote positive outcomes for children.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports, assessments, and case recordings.
- Attend multi-agency meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings where required.
- Ensure the child’s voice remains central to all decision-making and interventions.
