Type: Temporary / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a well-established Children Looked After Team based in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a stable and high-performing team that has recently achieved a ‘Good’ rating, with several areas recognised as ‘Outstanding’ through internal inspection. Working with children and young people aged 0–18, you will play a vital role in delivering positive outcomes through high-quality, child-centred practice.

What You Will Do
Relationship-Based Practice: Build trusting and effective relationships with children, young people, and families using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Assessment and Care Planning: Complete high-quality assessments, care plans, and pathway plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
Children Looked After Responsibilities: Support children and young people through statutory processes, reviews, and planning activities.
Court and Adoption Work: Undertake court-related work and adoption responsibilities, including the preparation of later life letters and life story work.
Multi-Agency Working: Work collaboratively with families, communities, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Meetings and Reviews: Participate in TAC meetings, PEP meetings, and other professional forums to support effective planning and intervention.
Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare high-quality reports and documentation in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
Duty Responsibilities: Participate in team duty arrangements and contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
