We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a well-established Child and Family Help Team based in Twickenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner with experience in supporting children, young people, and families through targeted early help and statutory interventions. Working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will manage a varied caseload, complete high-quality assessments, and deliver outcome-focused interventions that promote the safety and wellbeing of children while preventing the escalation of risk wherever possible.

What You Will Do
- Manage a caseload of children, young people, and families requiring early help and statutory social work intervention.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, formulate care and support plans, and review outcomes in partnership with children and their families.
- Undertake child-focused direct work that promotes positive outcomes and improves family resilience.
- Carry out child protection enquiries, risk assessments, safety planning, and contingency planning where required.
- Chair and contribute to professional meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration.
- Build strong working relationships with partner agencies to deliver coordinated and timely interventions.
- Maintain accurate case records, prepare high-quality reports, and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and departmental procedures.
- Effectively manage workload and prioritise cases to meet statutory timescales and service objectives.
- Promote the voice of the child throughout all aspects of assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Contribute positively to team development by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and promoting best practice.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or equivalent post-qualification experience.
- Experience working with children, young people, and families within statutory children’s services.
- Sound knowledge of relevant children’s legislation, safeguarding procedures, and statutory guidance.
- Experience completing assessments, managing risk, and delivering effective child protection interventions.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment while managing a busy caseload independently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet statutory deadlines.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred practice and achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
