We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join an Assessment Team based in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner with experience in Child Protection and Safeguarding services, supporting children and families through high-quality assessments and interventions. Working within a supportive team environment, you will play a key role in ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people across the locality.

What You Will Do

Child-Centred Assessments: Undertake high-quality assessments of need and risk to ensure children and young people are safeguarded and protected from harm.

Relationship-Based Practice: Build effective and trusting relationships with children and families, enabling a clear understanding of their experiences and needs.

Intervention and Support: Deliver appropriate support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions to promote positive and sustainable outcomes.

Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review plans that reflect the voice of the child and promote their best interests.

Case Management: Manage a varied caseload of children and families with differing levels of need and complexity, responding effectively to referrals from a range of sources.

Multi-Agency Working: Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.

Court and Report Writing: Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, statements, and documentation to support decision-making processes and court proceedings where required.

Statutory Responsibilities: Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and assessments in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Quality Assurance: Contribute to the effective operation of quality assurance processes and support continuous service improvement.
