We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join a well-established Adults Locality Team within Bath & North East Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled practitioners with experience in adult social care, safeguarding, Care Act assessments, and strengths-based practice. What you will do
Undertake strengths-based Care Act assessments with adults and careers, identifying needs, risks, outcomes, and community assets to support proportionate intervention.
Develop, implement, and review person-centered support plans that promote wellbeing, independence, and least restrictive outcomes.
Lead or contribute to Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, applying Making Safeguarding Personal principles and effective multi-agency working.
Carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interest decisions in accordance with relevant legislation and practice guidance.
Support DoLS processes and contribute to decision-making where appropriate.
Manage an allocated caseload, prioritizing work effectively and ensuring timely progression of assessments, interventions, and reviews.
Complete high-quality case recordings, risk assessments, professional reports, and support plans in line with statutory guidance and organizational standards.
Work collaboratively with adults, careers, families, health colleagues, housing services, community organizations, and voluntary sector partners.
Provide professional advice, early intervention, prevention, and advocacy to enable access to community resources and local support networks.
Promote strengths-based practice that supports adults to maintain independence and achieve positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Previous experience within Adult Social Care, including Care Act assessments and safeguarding practice.
Knowledge and practical experience of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Best Interest processes, and safeguarding procedures.
Experience managing complex caseloads and undertaking person-centered assessments and support planning.
Strong assessment, communication, report writing, and risk management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
Understanding and acceptance of an Inside IR35 engagement where applicable.
