We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team in Bromley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and skilled practitioner with substantial experience in child protection, court proceedings, and complex safeguarding casework.

Working within a supportive Children’s Services environment, you will manage a varied caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, and care proceedings. What You Will Do

Safeguarding Practice: Manage complex safeguarding cases involving children and families requiring statutory intervention.

Child Protection: Undertake Child in Need and Child Protection work, ensuring effective planning and timely interventions.

Court Proceedings: Progress Public Law Outline cases and care proceedings, preparing high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation.

Case Management: Hold and manage a varied caseload involving children and young people up to the age of 18.

Permanence Planning: Support permanence planning and decision-making to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.

Relationship Building: Develop positive and effective working relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.

Multi-Agency Working: Work collaboratively with professionals and stakeholders to deliver coordinated support and informed decision-making.

What You Will Bring

A recognized Social Work degree (BA, MA, or equivalent).

Current Social Work England registration.

A minimum of two years’ experience as a Senior Practitioner.

Significant experience within Child Protection and Court Proceedings teams.

Strong experience managing complex safeguarding and permanence cases.

Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.

The ability to build effective relationships and confidently manage complex casework.

Enhanced DBS clearance.
