We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a dedicated Localities Team based in Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage complex cases, undertake statutory social work responsibilities, and deliver high-quality interventions that safeguard children and support vulnerable families. Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies, you will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes through effective assessment, care planning, and relationship-based practice. The role profile also notes that social workers carry out statutory functions, manage caseloads, safeguard individuals, and work in partnership with other professionals to deliver positive outcomes.

What You Will Do
- Manage a complex statutory caseload within the Localities Team.
- Complete assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, families, and partner agencies.
- Undertake safeguarding interventions and promote positive outcomes.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain high-quality case records.
- Attend multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings where required.
- Travel within and, where necessary, outside the borough to support children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience managing statutory Children’s Services caseloads.
- Strong assessment, safeguarding, and care planning skills.
- Excellent communication and partnership-working abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
