Type: Temporary / Full Time

Ardent Social is recruiting for an experienced Adults Senior Social Worker – Locality to join a community-focused Adult Social Care service in Kingston upon Thames.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified social work professional with strong Adult Social Care experience who can provide professional leadership, support effective casework and contribute to high-quality outcomes for adults, careers and families.

Working closely with the Team Manager, you will support the effective delivery of locality services, provide professional guidance to social work staff and help maintain high standards of safeguarding, care management, risk assessment and service delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Team Manager with the effective management and delivery of the locality service.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to social workers on Adult Safeguarding, care management and legal matters.
  • Promote high-quality casework analysis, risk assessment and decision-making.
  • Support the allocation, transfer and closure of cases, ensuring workloads are appropriately balanced.
  • Deputies for the Team Manager when required to maintain continuity of service.
  • Provide professional and managerial supervision to social work staff where agreed.
  • Support staff development, performance management, professional registration and continuous professional development.
  • Monitor service performance and contribute to maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with adults, careers, families and representatives.
  • Work collaboratively with health services, hospitals, ICB and Continuing Healthcare teams, voluntary organizations and other stakeholders.
  • Support effective communication and information sharing across internal and external services.
  • Contribute to service improvement, performance monitoring and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Promote equality, diversity, fairness and inclusion throughout service delivery.

What You Will Bring

  • A recognized Social Work qualification at degree level or equivalent, such as CQSW, DipSW or relevant Social Work degree.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures underpinning Adult Social Care.
  • Experience of working effectively with adults, careers, families and partner agencies.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, care management and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and partnership-working skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, priorities competing demands and manage risk effectively.
  • Experience of supporting, supervising, coaching or developing social work staff.
  • Ability to analyze information and communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • A flexible, adaptable and solution-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, innovation and service improvement.
