We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Case Management Team in Northeast Shropshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage complex statutory cases, working with children and families to achieve positive outcomes through effective safeguarding, assessment, and care planning. You will join a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services across Children’s Services.

What You Will Do

• Manage a caseload involving Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
• Undertake statutory home visits and maintain effective relationships with children and families.
• Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.
• Attend and contribute to Core Group meetings and multi-agency meetings.
• Prepare comprehensive court reports and support legal proceedings where required.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Experience managing statutory Children’s Services caseloads.
• Experience working with CIN, CP, PLO, and court proceedings.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and risk management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
