Job Title: Senior Social Worker – Case Management Team

Type: Ongoing / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Case Management Team in Northeast Shropshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to manage complex statutory cases, working with children and families to achieve positive outcomes through effective safeguarding, assessment, and care planning. You will join a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services across Children’s Services.

What You Will Do
- Manage a caseload involving Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
- Undertake statutory home visits and maintain effective relationships with children and families.
- Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.
- Attend and contribute to Core Group meetings and multi-agency meetings.
- Prepare comprehensive court reports and support legal proceedings where required.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience managing statutory Children’s Services caseloads.
- Experience working with CIN, CP, PLO, and court proceedings.
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and risk management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
