Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – AMHP Duty Team

Salary: £42.00 Per Hour (Umbrella)
Type: Ongoing / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join a dedicated Mental Health Service based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to support the AMHP Duty Service by triaging Mental Health Act assessment referrals and coordinating timely interventions. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health services while working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals requiring statutory intervention.

What You Will Do
- Support the AMHP Duty Desk during business hours.
- Triage Mental Health Act assessment referrals and prioritise urgent cases.
- Coordinate Mental Health Act assessments in line with statutory responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and professional documentation.
- Promote safeguarding and positive outcomes for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Deliver high-quality interventions in accordance with legislation and best practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE).
- Experience working within Adult Mental Health Services.
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and statutory duties.
- Ability to work office-based during allocated shifts with flexibility where required.
