We are seeking an experienced Lead Practitioner to join a busy Adult Localities Service in Barnet. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and confident Social Worker with significant experience in complex adult social care casework, safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act practice, and Court of Protection proceedings.
Joining a dedicated operational team, you will provide practice leadership, professional guidance, and direct support to frontline practitioners while managing a small caseload of high-risk and complex cases. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive service focused on delivering positive outcomes for adults.

What You Will Do
Complex Case Management: Hold and manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases requiring advanced social work intervention.
Court of Protection Work: Lead on Court of Protection applications and proceedings, ensuring high-quality assessments and reports.
Practice Leadership: Provide expert advice, guidance, and professional support to practitioners across the team.
Risk Management: Support complex decision-making and contribute to effective risk assessment and management processes.
Quality Assurance: Undertake audits and quality assurance activities to support service improvement and best practice.
Mentoring and Coaching: Support the development of colleagues through mentoring, coaching, and practice guidance.
What You Will Bring
Social Work England registration.
Significant experience within Adult Social Care.
Strong experience managing complex casework, safeguarding concerns, and Court of Protection matters.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding legislation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
The ability to provide confident practice leadership and quickly establish yourself within a busy operational team.
