We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join the Interventions Hub and Support for Families Team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to work with children, young people, and their families, delivering early intervention and prevention services that promote positive outcomes and help prevent family breakdown.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide practical and tailored support to families, helping to strengthen parenting capacity while promoting the health, development, and wellbeing of children and young people.

What You Will Do
Family Support: Deliver practical, strengths-based support to children, young people, and families, promoting positive parenting and improving outcomes.
Early Intervention: Work with families identified as requiring additional support to prevent escalation of need and promote long-term wellbeing.
Direct Work: Deliver individual, family, and group-based interventions tailored to the needs of children and their families.
Partnership Working: Collaborate with social workers, partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support.
Assessment Support: Contribute to assessments and support planning by identifying family strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions.
Case Management: Manage an allocated workload, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.
Safeguarding: Promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures.
Professional Communication: Build positive relationships with families and professionals while maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
Essential Requirements
Relevant Experience: Experience of working with children, young people, and their families in a support or social care setting.
Driving Requirement: A full UK driving license and sole use of a vehicle are required for this role.
