We are seeking a compassionate and committed Family Support Worker to join a dedicated Family Support Team based in Worcester. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children, young people, and families by providing practical and emotional support to help build stability, resilience, and positive futures.

You will work directly with families facing a range of challenges, helping parents develop confidence and skills while ensuring children and young people remain safe and supported. This role requires someone who can build trusting relationships, work collaboratively with professionals, and provide effective family-focused interventions.

What You Will Do

Family Support: Work directly with children, young people, and families within their homes and communities, providing tailored practical and emotional support.

Building Resilience: Support parents and carers to develop skills, confidence, and strategies to promote positive family outcomes.

Safeguarding Practice: Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, identifying concerns and contributing to appropriate support plans.

Multi-Agency Working: Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other partner agencies to provide coordinated support.

Record Keeping: Maintain clear and accurate records while contributing to assessments, support plans, and ongoing case management.

Relationship Building: Develop positive and trusting relationships with families through a calm, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, young people, or families.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A relevant qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Commitment to supporting children, young people, and families.
