Job Description
Experienced Social Worker – Permanence and Assessment & Intervention
£38.00 per hour | 36 hours per week | Inside IR35
Location: Mallory, Wirral Council
Wirral Council is seeking committed and experienced Social Workers to join our Permanence and Assessment & Intervention Teams. Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children and families in either Permanence or Assessment & Intervention

Carry out comprehensive assessments, formulate outcome-focused care plans, and lead interventions to safeguard and support children

Complete court reports and contribute to proceedings where required

Engage with children, young people, and families directly using the Supporting Families, Enhancing Futures model
-
Work collaboratively with professionals across the multi-agency network
Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in statutory children’s services

Skilled in child-centred assessment, care planning, and safeguarding
-
Experience with court proceedings and multi-agency working
-
Strong communication, organisation, and report writing skills
