Job Description
Job Title: Experienced Social Worker – Care & Support Team

Salary: £30.84 Per Hour (Limited/Umbrella) / £23.98 Per Hour (PAYE)
Type: Temporary / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Care & Support Team within Adult Services in Rhondda Cynon Taf. This temporary opportunity is suitable for a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience and current registration with Social Care Wales.
The successful candidate will manage a defined caseload, undertake effective assessment and care planning, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to support positive outcomes for adults. You will be supported by an experienced management team and have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of social work practice.
What you will do
Caseload Management: Manage a defined caseload, ensuring effective and timely social work practice.
Assessment and Planning: Complete high-quality assessments and care planning in line with relevant legislation and professional standards.
Adult Social Care Practice: Apply a sound understanding of the Social Services and Well-being Act, Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legislation.
Partnership Working: Build and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies and professionals.
Person-Centered Practice: Promote anti-oppressive practice and ensure individuals’ needs and circumstances remain central to decision-making.
Professional Practice: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging issues and demonstrate strong assessment, communication and planning skills.
The role is based at Ty Elai, Heol Dinas Isaf, Tonypandy, with one mandatory office day per week and agile working requirements.
What you will need
- A recognized professional Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Care Wales.
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualifying Social Work experience.
- Experience of, or an interest in, working within Adult Social Care.
- Strong assessment, communication and planning skills.
- A sound understanding of relevant social care legislation.
- A commitment to anti-oppressive practice.
- Evidence of Social Care Wales registration and three years’ post-qualifying experience at interview.
