Job Title: Children’s Social Work Manager – Assessment & Support Team

Salary: Umbrella Rate per Hour £41.42
Type: Agency / 3 Months / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Children’s Social Work Manager to join a well-established Assessment & Support Team based in Ross-on-Wye. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Work professional with management or supervisory experience, strong assessment and report-writing skills, and experience of managing complex cases. You will provide leadership to a team working directly with children and families, supporting high-quality practice and positive outcomes.

What you will do
Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and management to a team of staff working directly with children and families.
Workload Management: Allocate and prioritise workloads effectively, ensuring the care and welfare of children remain paramount.
Assessment Oversight: Support the completion of robust, high-quality short-term assessments of need and ensure appropriate service provision is in place.
Team Development: Develop and support your team to provide an effective and efficient service.
Complex Case Management: Use strong assessment, report-writing and case management skills to support the management of complex cases.
Performance Management: Take responsibility for the team plan, ensuring objectives are met and performance targets are achieved.
Duty Responsibilities: Support the rotating duty function within a fast-paced Assessment & Support service.
