Job Description
Job Title: Team Manager – Peripatetic Team
Specialism: Children’s Services
Location: Suffolk, UK
Salary: Umbrella Rate Up to £45.00 per hour
Type: Temporary / Full Time
We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to provide additional management capacity across Children and Young People’s Services in Suffolk.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social work professional to support operational delivery, strengthen leadership capacity and provide stability during the implementation of a new service structure. The successful candidate will work flexibly across teams in the West and North localities, providing support where demand is highest and helping to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
What you will do
Leadership & Management
- Provide additional leadership and management capacity across teams in the West and North localities.
- Support teams experiencing high caseloads, staffing pressures or sickness absence.
- Help stabilize workloads and maintain effective service delivery during periods of increased demand.
- Work collaboratively with Team Managers and senior leaders to support consistency of practice and performance.
Operational & Service Support
- Support teams through the implementation of the new organizational structure and associated changes.
- Adapt management oversight and support according to the needs of individual teams.
- Work flexibly across services, providing management support where demand is greatest.
Practice Oversight
- Oversee and sign off assessments, ensuring quality standards and statutory requirements are met.
- Provide supervision, guidance and professional support to social work staff.
- Support the delivery of effective services for children and families.
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working is available.
- Approximately three days per week office attendance is expected.
- The role will cover the West and North areas of Suffolk, with work across the following office locations:
- West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds
- Beacon House, Ipswich
- Riverside, Lowestoft
