Job Title: Deputy Team Manager – Adult Mental Health Team
Location: Greater Manchester Area (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days Office-Based)
Contract Type: Temporary / Agency
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced mental health professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting adults within the mental health service? We are currently seeking a Deputy Team Manager to join a busy and supportive Adult Mental Health Team in the Greater Manchester region.
This is a temporary agency role, ideal for an experienced practitioner looking to take the next step in their career or bring their leadership expertise to an established service.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to a multi-disciplinary team working within adult mental health services.

Support the Team Manager in overseeing the operational delivery of high-quality, person-centred mental health care.

Assist in the allocation and monitoring of caseloads, ensuring effective risk management and safeguarding processes.

Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives in line with local and national standards.

Act as a point of escalation for complex cases and support staff with clinical and professional decision-making.

Work collaboratively with health, social care, and voluntary sector partners to promote integrated, recovery-focused support.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of data and performance metrics to meet service targets.
Requirements:

Current registration with Social Work England
-
Significant post-qualification experience within adult mental health services.

Previous supervisory or management experience is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of relevant mental health legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and the Care Act.
Additional Information:

This role operates on a hybrid working basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

You must be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

Competitive hourly rate, negotiable depending on experience and agency terms.
